(RTTNews) - Japan Airlines Corp. (JALSY.PK) on Wednesday reported that it swung to profit in the first half of 2006, driven by higher operating revenues from its segments.

Six-month revenue seat load factor also increased from last year. Looking ahead, the company maintained its fiscal year 2006 net income outlook, while lowering operating revenue forecast. The company's first half 2006 net profit was 1.

The company anticipates higher international passenger revenues of 732 billion yen, compared to prior forecast of 725 billion yen, while domestic passenger revenues are now expected to be 678 billion yen, down from 703 billion yen expected earlier. Japan Airlines lowered its international cargo outlook to 195 billion yen from earlier expected 198 billion yen. Operating income forecast reduced to 13 billion yen from earlier expected 17 billion yen.
