The Union Colony Dinner Theatre is taking on a "musical joy ride" that celebrates the jungle of the modern-day mating game in its latest, "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change." This musical, with lyrics by Joe DiPietro and Jimmy Roberts, explores everything about dating, romance, marriage, lovers, husbands, wives and in-laws. Four actors take on the lives of more than 60 characters as they face the trials and tribulations of dealing with the opposite sex.

In a collection of hilarious scenes and songs, this show reveals the difficulties and joys of the journey from dating and waiting to love and marriage. It is at present off-Broadway's longest-running musical, second only to The Fantasticks among off-Broadway musicals. It premiered in 1996 and is still in production at New York City's Westside Theatre, where in March the musical topped 4,000 showings.

The show has been played in 280 cities worldwide. "I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change" is called a wonderful date show that will have audiences laughing and singing even after leaving the theater. This is the show that the New York Times called the "battle of the heterosexes," and the Star Ledger called "'Seinfeld' set to music.

" The show at Union Colony is being co-directed by Jalyn Webb and Seth Caikowski; music is directed by Jalyn Webb, with Cole Emerain choreographing.
