Euro RSCG Fuel, a leading UK marketing communications group has commissioned composer Joe Glasman of music production company Hum to write the score for a new Volvo S80 spot.
The challenge was to write a filmic and atmospheric piece conveying the mystery of future unseen events that a driver can experiences and describe the qualities of a car that has the on-board technology to adapt to road hazards in advance.
In the spot the Volvo S80 will travel from the snows in Scandinavia to Europe's sunny south.
Chris Aldhous, Creative Director, Euro RSCG Fuel London commented: "I think our new Volvo S80 spot has immense stand out, not least because of the music. Joe at Hum understood what we were looking for straight away and got it on the first try. That freshness is there in the track.
It hasn't been constructed by committee, it's been conjured up single-handedly by a damn fine composer."
Based in central London, Hum was co-founded in 1989 by composer Joe Glasman, Hum continues to be a vehicle for his musical output.
The core of Hum's work has always been its award-winning original music.
Working across a range of music genres, Hum claim to have a distinctive approach and humour - where standards of writing are always matched with high production values.
