Angolan minister of Culture, Boaventura Cardoso, Sunday in Cabinda told future participants to the National Festival of Angola's Popular Music Variante , to pay more attention to the vocal technique, with a view to a better tuning and articulation.
According to the minister, who was speaking to journalists after the 14th edition of Variant, most of the contestants showed failures in the vocal aspect, which ended up affecting their chances.

One of the great problems that I noted is the lack of quality in the vocal aspect, on the part of some contestants, said the minister, calling their attention to be more careful.


He also appealed to the provincial governments to provide assistance to their candidates to the contest, so they can have a better performance at technical and motivation levels.
The 14th edition of Variante was won by Luanda's representative, Sandra Cordeiro, that totalled 180 points, with the song Luandense .
