Amy Grant is not only an icon in Christian music, but one of the most celebrated artists in pop music today. Grant made her debut in 1977 when she was a teenager and soared to number one on Christian radio two years later. Her album, Age to Age, became the first contemporary Christian music album to go platinum.
She crossed over in more mainstream music in 1985 with Unguarded and has continued to produce pop-oriented as well as gospel albums. She hosted her own reality TV show on NBC, called Three Wishes in 2006. Grant possesses six Grammy Awards and 21 Gospel Music Association Dove Awards.
She is married to singer Vince Gill.
