Despite the best efforts of Jive Records, Britney Spears ' new album Blackout has been leaked on to the internet. To stem the tide of uploads and leaks, Jive pushed the release of the album up from November 13th ot October 30th but, apparently, this wasn't enough. Fox News reports that Jive will host a live listening session of the new album this coming Monday for the press.
The version leaked on to the net lacks cetain tracks scheduled to appear on the album. Tracks like "Pices of Me" which details Britney's experiences with the Papparazzi and "Heaven On Earth", according to Fox New's Roger Friedman. Embattled in a custody suit with her ex-husband Kevin Federline , Britney Spears has had little opportunity to promote her new album Blackout .
Last week, her video for "Gimme More" leaked on the internet and was promptly pulled down. Recently, Spears lost her 50-50 custoday share with Federline for failing to produce a valid California state driver's license, among of the things. Despite her personal woes, Britney's single "Gimme More' continues to be successful and is currently number 3 on the Billboard Top 100.
The song debuted at number the day it was released.
