Quincy Jones was named one of the 2008 National Endowment for the Arts Jazz Masters in ceremonies this week in New York. Besides Jones, an impresario, conductor, producer, arranger, composer and trumpeter, recipients included the rhythm instrumentalist Candido Camero Q, the composer and pianist Andrew Hill Q, the composer and arranger Tom McIntosh Q and the solo instrumentalist and trumpeter Joe Wilder Q.
