I downloaded the game last night and spent some time with it. While I could give a flying flip about the story as it was presented, the game system seemed pretty interesting. A couple of things that bugged me were that a) even though the story graphics and backgrounds were all HD, the battle characters were all low/med res.
Normally this wouldn't be a problem, but they really stood out against the gorgeous effects and character art. b) The movement and attack phases occur on seperate turns (I move all my guys, enemy moves all his guys, I attack, enemy attacks) which means that even simple battles take a long time, and it's difficult to set up combos because the enemy keeps moving. Famitu gives it a avg rating of 6, and says that it takes abour 80 hours to complete.
I think I might just wait for disgaea3.
