This is where the inspiration came from for ‘Sergeant Peppers'. A satirical look at themselves, the band decided to create a completely fictitious band name and line-up, and started to go about creating songs that were a simulation of a live sound. They recorded a few but abounded the idea.
Giving the fact that they had so much time available the band decided they could really find a new sound, and experiment with different styles and genres. They set aside several months to create the ultimate concept album.
