The rappers claimed on their myspace recently that they were the first group to legally clear a Beatles sample, part of the George Harrison-penned 'While My Guitar Gently Weeps'. But Randall Wixen, who handles the publishing for the Harrison estate, reiterated that the Wu-Tang's version is an interpolation and that no master sample was used. This is exactly what the Wu-Tang originally said when they first mentioned it, that they were going to work with Harrison's son Dhani on a reworking of the song, supposed called 'My People Gently Weep' or 'Gently Weep'.

Investigations by MTV News reveal that Dhani and Red Hot Chili Pepper John Frusciante do both play guitar on the song, and Erykah Badu appears, but no true sample is used. Wu-Tang Clan apologised for misleading the fans, and note To satisfy everyone's curiosity, the song will be streamed exclusively on loud.com tonight.

The song will be the first single from their new album '8 Diagrams'.
