For free, uncensored discussion visit our forum . well I still don't think we should speculate until the autopsy results. That being said, I've been to 5 Pumpkins shows in the US (including one since the reform) and have never seen a mosh pit.
Maybe it's just because I've only seen them in the Midwest, who knows. From my experience, the Vancouver show sounds like the exception not the rule. Sad though not matter what the cause of death.
I don't know where the media's getting their source, but I was at the concert, about 30ft from the stage, and I didn't see any kind of moshing, and maybe 2 crowd-surfers. The only concert I've been to where the crowd was better behaved was a Stephen Malkmus concert.
