Joanna Mazewski - Celebrity News Service Editor Vancouver, Canada (CNS) - Reports indicate that a 20-year-old male has died at a Smashing Pumpkins concert at Vancouver 's PNE Forum Monday night. The exact cause of death is not yet known. The first aid staff present at the concert attempted to save the fan nearby the stage before he was taken to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Digital Spy reports PNE's media relations officer Laura Balance said: "In fairness to family and friends of this individual, we just don't want to start speculating. It's just a really, really sad ending to what started out to be probably a very fun night for a young man." Balance also added that although crowd-surfing is permitted at the venue, it is discouraged by the security staff.
