) Casbeers will open for a special Sunday show, and what better reason to have a Sunday show than a Polka Freak Out? PFO is Bubba Hernandez (bass, vocals) and Alex Meixner (accordion). Hernandez, the former Brave Combo bassist (and San Antonio native) and Pennsylvania-bred squeezebox ace Meixner have a cool music trip going.
PFO brings together originals, classics and obscurities from the polka world for a sound that's hip and square in the best kinds of measures. For this show, a release party for the Polka Freak Out CD, Hernandez and Meixner will be accompanied by Ray Symczyk (bajo sexto) and Michael Morris (drums). During the show Casbeers will give away a pair of tickets for the June 8 Weird Al Yankovic concert at Laurie Auditorium.
Dimmu Borgir, Devildriver, Unearth
Graham Central Station Dimmu Borgir, Norwegian metal-scene royalty, is nothing if not loud, hard and ambitious. The sextet is touring with In Sorte Diaboli, its first studio album in four years. According to the band's press material, In Sorte Diaboli, the band's first concept album, is a treatise on modern-day political and social abuses of organized religion.

County Line Up-and-coming group from Austin is clicking on radio with Driftin' in the Wind, the single from their Smith Entertainment CD Finally, which jumped to No. 12 on this week's Texas Music chart. They're next up in the Cavender Chevrolet Live Music Series at The County Line at 8 p.

Luna If you want a ground-floor jazz opportunity, jump on the Adam Carrillo bandwagon.
The sax player is 17, attends O'Connor High School and is garnering rave reviews from, and playing time with, guys who are old enough to be his grandfather. Carrillo's quintet is staffed by his contemporaries, so jazz fans can rest assured the music is in capable hands.
The Flamin' Hellcats
Rock Bottom Tattoo Bar The Hellcats are from Houston, but the revved-up, no-holds-barred rock crew has so many fans in San Antonio that the 'Cats qualify for dual citizenship.

Ruta Maya Riverwalk Coffeehouse Barker creates inventive songwriter rock and he's accompanied by players who share his desire, and ability, to do an eclectic trip.
The Doo-Wah Riders
Casbeers The Riders, from Southern California, play their brand of country music in venues from Disneyland to clubs and casinos. The members have experience ranging from serious jazz to serious fiddle contests.
Songs such as Dear Beer should please Texas crowds.
Matt Martindale Band
Rolling Oaks Sports Bar Grill Former frontman and primary songwriter for Cooder Graw, which broke up a few months ago, will present some old tunes with new twists as well of plenty of new ones. The show is part of The Oaks' Texas Music series.
