Bob Dylan is heading down under in August for a tour that will include shows in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
The tour, which includes five Australian shows, follows the release of Dylan's 32nd album, Modern Times, and will be his first trip here in more than four years. Ireland's The Frames will be the supporting act for the tour.
Tickets will be available from June 7 for shows on August 8 at the Westpac Arena in Christchurch, August 10 at Wellington's TSB Arena and August 11 at Auckland's Vector Arena.

I saw Bob Dylan over 10 years ago in Glasgow, Scotland, and he was superb and is a bit if a hero. However, I went to see him two years ago again in Glasgow and he was absolutely rubbish. I am sorry to say he had changed all his usual tracks and no one really knew what was going on on stage.
I think he has passed it now and should let people remember the way he was, which was superb. So no I am not excited to see Bob Dylan coming to Auckland. I would love to see Bob Dylan again.
I think it was 1977 or 1978 when I saw him at Western Springs. I can't remember anything about it - I was too stoned! Now I'm older and wiser and cleaner.
Kids - dont do drugs. They are evil. I am always excited to hear a music legend is comming to New Zealand.
It's also positive to see he is not playing only one venue as many other big artists often do.
