Europeans will have more than their fair share of Zeitgeist-y goodness on the Pumpkins tour, which kicks off tonight in Paris.
UPDATE: For the Paris show, the Pumpkins live lineup consisted of bassist Ginger Reyes (The Halo Friendlies), guitarist Jeff Schroeder (The Lassie Foundation), and keyboardist Lisa Harriton. So yeah, pretty much what s been rumored for ages now. No word yet whether these folks contribute at all to Zeitgeist.

They even live on the edge a little, shrugging off work-week fatigue to play a Friday night show in Denton, Texas in July. Hilarity will ensue when the boss shows up, gets totally shit-faced, and proceeds to make out with Kevin Whelan s battered bass.
The Wrens will be joined on two Texas dates by labelmates (led by Pitchfork s own Matt LeMay), while recent Arts Crafts signing provide support for one engagement.
No news yet on the follow-up to , but hopefully some progress will be made next time these working class heroes vacation days line up. Forget the whole vs. thing-- everybody won this past weekend at latest and most ambitious soir e e to date.

Michio Kurihara Treats U.S.
to Sunset Notes Having just his collaboration, , in the U.S. today (May 22) via , is treating American audiences to another one of his albums.
Sunset Notes, the Japanese experimental guitarist s solo debut, was first released on Japan s in 2005. It will finally hit non-import shelves on this side of the Pacific on May 29 thanks to , a label run by Damon Krukowski and Naomi Yang (aka ) of Galaxie 500 fame. Sunset Notes also includes vocal contributions from pop singer Ai Aso, and a song titled Do Deep-Sea Fish Dream of Electric Moles?
. Fresh off the release of the first single ( ) from their forthcoming album, (June 12, Interscope), have announced more tour dates. And some of them will even take place in the U.
S.!
