Bridget Jones. Pete Doherty and Lily Allen have opted for a similarly British approach of late: he threw a bucket of water over the paps on the pavement outside Kate Moss's London home, while she went for a playground style kick in front of a Soho club. Britney Spears's weapon of choice was an umbrella in her most recent pap attack, but Lindsay Lohan and Keanu Reeves went for the more American option of a drive-by: Keanu knocked over a paparazzo while trying to pull out of a parking space in March.
The photographer suffered a broken wrist and a bruised ego: he was miffed that Reeves didn't apologise. Lindsay Lohan's recent collision was less clear cut. The snapper fell to the pavement in front of her car and was taken to hospital, but LiLo claims he was faking it.
Being kicked, soaked or run over is miserable, but then so is being chased by paps. The argument that stars crave publicity and should expect the attention is lame. We all pose for photos at parties or family dos, but who wants to be snapped 24/7?
For once, celebs, we're wholeheartedly on your side.
