Community concert to offer evening of classical, jazz music

Brookland Baptist Church is hosting a free community concert at 7:30 tonight. Don t be fooled that the concert is at church this show stars a variety of performers and is sure to please listeners of all ages and musical tastes.
The first portion of the program includes Capital City Chorale, violinist Samuel Thompson, and a piano performance by Marina Lomazov and Joseph Rackers.


Capital City Chorale group is known for entertaining crowds with gospel and spiritual music and theatrical performances. They inspire audiences while enhancing knowledge of black heritage.
The second half of the evening features the Columbia Jazz Quartet.

This musical ensemble features Skipp Pearson rocking the saxophone, Bert Ligon on piano, Craig Butterfield on the bass and Kenneth Salters on drums.
Arrive early the show is free and seats are limited. The church is at 1066 Sunset Blvd.
