Acclaimed vocalist-harpist Mark Hummel and his band, The Blues Survivors, will hit town for a show at 1048 Jazz and Blues Club on Saturday as part of their "Ain't Easy No More" tour.
Hummel is coming off an appearance in Memphis, Tenn., for this year's Blues Foundation Blues Music Awards, where he was nominated in the Best Blues Harp category.
He performed at the show in a big blues harp blowout with the likes of Kim Wilson of the Fabulous Thunderbirds.
He also just released his latest CD, "Ain't Easy No More."
Hummel was recently featured on the cover of Blues Revue, the world's largest, most-read blues publication.
Every year, Hummel presents his own Blues Harp Blowout featuring top blues harpists like James Cotton, Charlie Musselwhite and Wilson, backed by The Blues Survivors.
