The new dates begin in Los Angeles with concerts on July 10 and 11. They will also be back in Europe as early as June, with gigs in Italy, Germany, Romania, Norway and Austria, among others. This is the first performance Incubus will give in Romania (June 24, Bucharest).
Incubus, made up of singer Brandon Boyd, guitarist Michael Einziger, bassist Ben Kenney, drummer Jose Pasillas III and turntablist Chris Kilmore, has been around for some 15 years now, or half of its members lives, as they have joked in interviews. Light Grenades, their sixth studio album, was released last year in late November and debuted at No.1 on the Billboard charts, a first for the band.
Singles released so far are Anna-Molly, Dig and Love Hurts. The video for Dig has a special story, as the five members decided to include fans in the process of making a video and launched the I Dig Incubus contest. Hundreds of home-made vids were posted on YouTube and one person was the lucky winner.
Kaamuz won both the fan pick and band pick, with a video an animated video based on the album s artwork, which was done by Alan Aldridge, who has also collaborated with the Beatles. The guys will be touring the U.S.
through September, when they will be back in Europe and South America. For details on their tour, go to http://www.myspace.
