Touring underground bands get their trailers stolen so frequently, it isn't even news -- but when a couple of ballsy burglars bust into the Smashing Pumpkins' headquarters, it's another deal altogether.
The band's management confirmed that a pair of unidentified burglars made it into the band's practice space last week and made off with a pile of photos believed to be associated with the act's comeback album, Zeitgeist. The potential felons were already rounded up and face criminal charges.
Addressing what's undoubtedly the most important issue of this theft, Pumpkins management assured fans that their safety isn't at risk.
"The band's management says the group feels their rights have been violated by this crime and will always pursue their rights and the law to protect their property and the safety of themselves, their families and their fans," the statement read.
Whew.
Now that everyone's safe, we can start counting down the days until Zeirgeist arrives in stores July 7 ( ).
