GOSSIP blogger Perez Hilton touched down in Sydney last night and was given a true Aussie welcome with a summons, delivered by paparazzo Jamie Fawcett.
Fawcett, the celebrity snapper who Nicole Kidman snapped back at for allegedly harassing her outside her home in Darling Point last year, found the task harder than taking many a sneaky photo.
Hilton ndash; real name Mario Lavandeira ndash; twice tossed the court documents away and warned Fawcett not to touch him.
Eventually he relented and took the papers accusing him of stealing and using Fawcett's photo of singers Jessica Simpson and John Mayer without permission.
Lavandeira is the latest to hit our shores for tomorrow's MTV Awards where the secret life of The Veronicas' fashion line will be unveiled.
The smash hit Aussie exports showed off their signature rock chick style - to boot - when they joined the galaxy of stars jetting in from the US ahead of Sunday's MTV music extravaganza at the Acer Arena.
Sydney's international airport resembled a catwalk of Hollywood's cool kids as Black Eyed Peas babe Fergie, burlesque artist Dita Von Teese, Sophie Monk and the Veronica's Jess and Lisa Origliasso twins strutted their stuff into the arrivals lounge.
However, the fashion parade will continue at Homebush tomorrow night when the Veronicas debut their hyped clothing label that is based on their signature style of fusion of pop princess meets punk rocker.
While official launch details for the label are yet to be released, the range is likely to be sold into department store chains later this year.
Joining the twins as celebrity guests at the MTV awards is gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who successfully sent feathers flying even before touching down last night.
Famed for his bitchy attitude and feisty, do or die approach, Hilton - real name Mario Lavandeira -landed in hot water earlier this week after double booking himself to be the guest of honour at VIP parties for Who magazine and the Hilton Hotel's Zeta Bar.
Who cancelled their exclusive'' soiree as a result but a heated email exchange between Lavandeira and the weekly title could turn the pink celebrity chaser a bright shade of red when he discovers it has been leaked to the media.
I was sincerely trying to make this work out and hoping we could do both, but it seemed like it was either your way or no way,'' Lavandeira wrote to Who's brand manager.
The more I think about this situation, the more I'm getting upset about it! F.
