NASHVILLE, April 27 (UPI) -- Chris Tomlin swooped into Nashville and came away with a flock of six Doves, presented at the Gospel Music Association's 38th annual awards program. Tomlin won for artist of the year and male vocalist of the year for the second straight year, Variety reported Friday. Aaron Shust won three Doves -- including new artist, songwriter of the year and song of the year for "My Savior My God.

" The band DecembeRadio won rock album of the year for its self-titled debut. The show's co-host, Natalie Grant, took home the female vocalist of the year award for the second straight year. The range of music recognized by the program was gratifying to Mark Hall of Casting Crowns, which won group of the year and pop/contemporary song of the year for "Praise You in This Storm.

" "Now in every style of music, there's someone singing about Jesus and as a youth pastor, that's awesome to me," Hall said. "Radio no longer cares where a record comes from," said Bill Hearn, president and chief executive officer of EMI Christian Music Group. "If it researches well and impacts their audience, then they are going to play it.
