This past weekend, the debuted the Concertino for Cellular Phones and Symphony Orchestra. Basically, it was a classical music piece for cellphones featuring members of the orchestra along with audience participation. Onstage, a series of lights alerted audience members to activate their rings during various points--red for the balcony and green for the orchestra seats--for snippets from composers such as Strauss, Bartok, and Brahms.
