Your last album was totally a cappella. What could you possibly do that you haven't done before? Well, you could work with Timbaland.

In perhaps the strangest pop pairing since Bowie met Bing, the Icelandic iconoclast and the hip-hop hitmaker join forces for three tracks on her seventh full-length Volta. At least one of them -- Earth Intruders -- is her most commercial track in years. But don't worry, kids; Tim hasn't turned her into some Nordic Nelly Furtado.

This is still a typical Bjork CD full of eerie electronics, exotic instrumentation, enigmatic lyrics and those vaguely alien force-of-nature vocals. Let's take it one song at a time, shall we?
