siedhr: RAW day and various ramblings about showbiz and the amazing race

Today is RAW day, w00t! Cuts for spoilers. You can skip to the middle of the post for other interesting stuff if you don't care about manga.

Bleach 244: get it .

Is it just me or is Bleach getting exciting again? Perhaps because Ishida's back.

I've always had a soft spot for this nerdy character. If there's something Kubo Tite knows how to do well is create interesting, unique characters that stand on their own in the crowd.

My only hope is that Kubo will find a way to get Orihime out in an original manner.

I loved the SS arc, but I don't want to see a rehash of it.

Eyeshield 21 202: get it .

Once again, the coolness that is Riku managed to save an otherwise boring and rushed chapter.

I'm all for making the matches shorter, but this was ridiculous. Go Riku. Show the big guy's who's the man.

Hiruma protecting the gals with a handfull of stunners was all kinds of awesome.

Naruto 324: get it .

I'm beginning to like Naruto again.

Maybe cause Shikamaru's back. Always count of the smart guy to relieve the boredom of a manga who's main protagonist is brain-dead, or at least refuses to use any thinking whatsoever.

D Grayman some chapter: get it .

Why am I still reading this crappy manga? It's getting crappier by the minute. Kanda's on the cover, looking girlier every time.

I'm still not quite convinced he's male.

Saw the first episode of the new season of the Amazing Race last night. It's shaping up to be an interesting season, with likable, strong teams.

Will make a longer post about it, but for now just this.

You gotta admire a show that isn't afraid to show stupid Americans, especially considering today's international climate. There's a prejudice in my country that Americans are generally stupid (which isn't true, of course), but what is true is that their arrogance makes them look stupider than they really are.

Case in point, the cheerleader team of Kellie and Jamie talking about the Muslim guys team, who refused to shake hands with them due to their religion. But they weren't mad, cause they're cool girls. But they had a dilemma.

They even put subtitles in to make sure no one misses or misunderstands what they said. These two make Kelly Bundy look like a genius.

The Muslim dudes sadly got eliminated half-way through the episode - pity, they would have made for a great source of amusement, since they said they'd stop to pray according to their faith.

I was looking forward to them stopping to worship Allah during a Roadblock. Rofl.

The world has gone mad.

"Cameron Diaz has filed a police report charging a photographer with assault with a deadly weapon for allegedly trying to hit her and boyfriend Justin Timberlake with his car."
Cameron and Justin's war against hard-working paparazzi has reached a new level. Rofl.

What's next? Katyusha rockets? Phaser pistols?

Some funny type of weaponry I can't seem to be able to think of? Btw, the photographer in question has filed his own complaint. Figures.

"R B star Whitney Houston is planning a spectacular comeback with an album of new material in early 2007."
I was quite shocked and pleasantly surprised to say the least, when I found out Whitney is divorcing Bobby Brown. It was one of those things everyone wished happened, but never actually hoped it would come true.

" Distraught former Playboy Playmate Anna Nicole Smith was forced to sell photos of her son Daniel Smith taken the night before he died in order to pay for his funeral expenses."
O_O
I'm just..

. speechless. It's one of those moments when I regret I'm not the witty, spontaneous type.

I'd have so much to say about this.

"More than two and a half years after her breast was exposed to nearly 100 million viewers during the Super Bowl, Janet Jackson has finally spoken out about the debacle and insists she shouldn't have apologized."
Yes, finally indeed.

One has to wonder when will this story finally crawl under a rock and die? I'm so sick of hearing about it. But kudos for Janet, way to go, girl.

I never liked your music, but this made me respect you, juuuust a little bit.

This one is quoted in its integrity for all kinds of stupid.
"Jackass star Bam Margera has re-ignited rumors he slept with Jessica Simpson while she was still married after appearing on the Howard Stern radio show on Tuesday.

"Margera's former fiance, Jenn Rivell, told a Pennsylvania radio show in 2005 that Simpson and Margera had sex while the pop star was still married to Nick Lachey. At the time, Bam's father Phil Margera also told Philadelphia radio deejays Preston Stern his son admitted bedding Simpson. Stern interrogated Margera on his show, asking about the night the two spent together while she was filming The Dukes Of Hazzard with his Jackass co-star Johnny Knoxville.

Margera said the relationship was blown out of proportion, but admitted he "bumped into Simpson", which caused his fellow Jackass co-star Steve-O to say suggestively, "Yeah, bumped into her!" Margera claims they "wound up at her parents house drinking margaritas and it went from there" and said afterwards he "left at eight in the morning." When Stern asked Margera if Simpson looked good naked, he said she had a personal trainer for the film adding, "Yeah, she looked good.

I can't deny that!""
Ehhh..

. Bam person, this is worse than high-school. But then again, since he's associated with a show famous for piercing buttocks shut and playing football using their own crotches as net goals, there's not much we can expect from the likes of him.
