Maybe she's just a little out of practice, but Madonna is pulling some Britney-esque parenting techniques when it comes to car safety.

The Material Mom was spotted, as reports, with her 17-month-old adopted son David getting into an SUV ndash; but without a car seat, and with David on her lap! TMZ caught Britney doing the same thing more than once last year, which raised serious questions at the time, and which Brit later shrugged off as being "country." At least, in Madge's defense, she wasn't driving, unlike Britney.

Madonna's reps assure the world that "proper security measures are always taken for Madonna's children."

Bundchen Pregnant with Another of Brady's Bunch?

Tom Brady certainly knows how to pass that ball around to his receivers ndash; and they're definitely running with it after the catch. Though we will eschew painful football metaphors henceforth, the news here is that Gisele Bundchen ndash; the woman who Brady began dating shortly after ditching an already-pregnant Bridget Moynihan in December ndash; may also be preggers with a Brady baby.

The supermodel's reps say they don't comment on clients' personal lives, but a source tells , "She has told friends it's true." Yesterday, Brazilian media sources were reporting Bundchen's, ahem, condition. Will Brady punt on this one too?

(Yeah, we went there.)

Keith Urban has a bad case of K-Fed-itis. He tells that he's a star of country music, so he does not like that people might associate his fame with his wife Nicole Something-or-other, or his bouts in rehab. "It's extremely painful, no doubt about it," says Keith.

"But at the same time I can only say that it'd drive me crazy if I kept confronting myself with those kinds of things." The Aussie singer-songwriter was, of course, reasonably well known Down Under and in these parts, but got a fame upgrade when he began dating Kidman in late 2005 and again when he married her last summer, only to check into rehab shortly thereafter.

Angelina Jolie and Clint Eastwood may be teaming up on "The Changeling," about a woman whose son is abducted and then found, though the mother suspects that the kid ain't hers, reports .

The film was originally on Ron Howard's shortlist. ..

. Suge Knight tells that he's ready to pull the plug on the rap label that he started, Death Row, because two preachers gave him the same message about getting rid of the past. Death Row introduced the world to Tupac, Snoop Dogg, and Dr.

Dre. ..

. Michael Jackson told his adoring Japanese fans yesterday at that $3500-per-handshake event, that he wouldn't change a thing about his career since the age of six, and that he's weathered "deliberate attempts to hurt me." .

.. Well, it had to end sometime, and it may as well have been last night.

The vocally under-talented Antonella Barba went home on "American Idol," as did Sabrina Sloan, Jared Cotter, and Sundance Head.

Some years ago, Madonna gave David Letterman a pair of her underwear.

Now Madonna thinks it's time to give them to someone who really needs them: Britney Spears.

Madonna was a guest on "The Late Show" last night, when Dave brought up the topic of stars who don't wear underwear. "I love underpants," Madonna joked.

"I've come to New York, and the first thing I hear is about everyone not wearing their underpants. What's going on?" This coming from the woman who French kissed Britney in front of a live audience.

When Dave mentioned that Madonna had once given him a pair of her unmentionables, Madonna quipped, "Maybe you could send them to Britney." That Madonna -- always giving to those in need.

For the last three decades, Madonna has reigned as the Queen of Pop, and she's had an amazingly broad influence on pop culture, fashion and the career of nearly every young female pop starlet ( ).

When royals begin to age, there is the inevitable talk about an heir to the throne.
Gwen StefaniFor the first few years of the new millennium, it seemed as if Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera would battle it out for the crown. As we all remember, there was the infamous performance by the two young lovelies at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards, where each shared a liplock with Her Madgesty. Since Spears appeared to get just a little more tongue that X-tina, it seemed the torch was passed to Britney, who even took up Kaballah to emulate her highness.

Then came Brit's quickie marriage and equally quick annulment to childhood friend , which was the precursor to a downward spiral to be forever known as "The Federline Years." As we've seen, Britney after dumping FedEx, but her attempts to regain her spot in the line of pop succession have derailed. Everyone knows that a mother of two doesn't for the world to see.

Meanwhile, another blonde has quietly planted herself on the top of the heap. Gwen Stefani, while slightly beyond "princess" years, is worthy of being considered pop royalty. Her is doing very well on the charts, which is no surprise, given that everything she's touched turns to gold.

From her mega-selling "Love.Angel.Music.

Baby." to her monster collaborations with Eve and Moby, Gwen has the magic touch. Like Madonna, Gwen's influence now stretches beyond music.

She's renowned for her edgy fashion sense and has her own successful , complete with matching . Gwen even has her own doll line and is creating her own perfume to market under her L.A.

M.B. brand.

She's even taken a turn on the big screen. Stefani made a brief acting debut playing Jean Harlow alongside Leo DiCaprio in "The Aviator," and made a cameo appearance in "Zoolander." While other contenders have faulted, Gwen is clearly on the path to pop's top spot.

Gwen is everywhere these days; the VH1 "Big in '06" awards, this past weekend, and next on MTV's New Year's Eve show. She does it all while , proving that you can be sexy and classy at the same time. She's got a happy marriage with a , and never seems to be far from her her son.

Yep, Gwen has it all. Perhaps Miss Britney should stop and take a cue from Stefani. If she did, she'd learn a valuable lesson: you don't need a sex tape or panty-less outings to be a megastar -- something even Madonna learned a long time ago.

Hollywood share a very special bond. Star moms are usually very particular about the way they raise their daughters, especially because they know the trials and tribulations their child will have to overcome from growing up in the spotlight.

This sometimes forces that mother-daughter connection to grow stronger...

but not always.

Sometimes money and attention interfere with the love, leaving only feuding and heartache. Here's a loving little look at some of Tinseltown's more famous celeb moms and their female offspring.
