Joey will go straight from tour bus into the studio to continue work on the new Slipknot CD which will surface in 2008.
Korn's management confirmed earier in the month that temporary drummer Terry Bozzio had completed his work on the band's new record and is no longer working with the group. Bozzio, a legendary drummer known for his work with Missing Persons and Frank Zappa, plays on some but not all tracks on the album.
Brooks Wackerman of Bad Religion played with the band several weeks ago at a youth volunteer show in Los Angeles.
Bozzio replaced founding drummer David Silveria in January, after Silveria announced at the end of 2006 that he was taking a "hiatus" from Korn for at least one album and tour.
Korn's eighth studio effort is due this summer.
The band will headline the 2007 Family Values tour starting in mid-July, with Evanescence, Hellyeah, Atreyu, Trivium and Flyleaf also on the bill. The on-sale date for most of the shows is April 28.
i thought that slipknot and korn dont get along very well.
i believe that they once burned korn's picture back then im not that into any of the bands..BUT Joey is still one of my favourite drummers so, cool for him

I have to admit, I'm not too fond of See You On the Other Side, but I've liked Korn for the longest time. I regret not going to the last Family Values tour, but I'm going to try my hardest to go to this one. It seems David's drummming wasn't so great on the new record, maybe Joey will throw in some kick ass fills.
I like it maybe he wil inspire KoRn and otherwise inspire Joey for the next Slipknot album.

Joey is one of the if not the best drummers in the world, why hes goin to be drumming for korn i dunno. They havent made anything really good for ages. That is pretty cool.
i guess so. Its funny cuz slipknot used to talk all this crap about korn because david did some modeling for some company. Now joey is in his shoes or pedals now awesome, im a huge korn and slipknot fan, both of them on stage.

Funny you say that, because they only burned David's picture, because he was in a metal band, yet he was out doing modeling ads for the gap and shit and looked like a total prep.
They were trashing him for that, and I ironically I think Korn was even poking fun of him doing that in the twisted transistor video.(If you've seen it, youd know what i mean) Even more funny that the drummer from the band who burned his picture is now taking his place. lmao!
But I'm really surprised to hear this news too. I thought Bozz was on for their touring and stuff too, not just studio time. Joey's got some pretty big shoes to fill now, but I totally know he can do it!
They should have just had Joey do both to be honest...
Word - maybe this'll bring some of the intensity back to Korn's music that's been missing since after Issues. I mean, I don't like slipknot..

but hes good enough to fit in. lol the fat bad religion drummer is cool too haha surprising he played with korn Family Value,i gotta go Atreyu,Trivium,Korn and my fellow Texans Flyleaf not to mention Joey, im definitly gonna pay a visit to relatives in Phoenix i gotta go to that tour visit some relatives and see Joey as well as Korn,Trivium,Atreyu,and not to mention (i think so) fellow Texans Flyleaf I can't believe Frank Zappa's drummer played with Korn.
Zappa is amazing.
this is indeed weird because the whole picture burning thing, but corey from slipknot/stone sour sang a couple korn songs live once when jonathon wasn't there (i think it was at last years family values) so maybe its water under the bridge I thought this was a guitar website. Joey is an INSANE drummer. have you seen the DVD? he was UPSIDE DOWN.
joey's amazing, im still just a little dissapointed that dave isnt gonna be there, cus i love his style, but joey owns really hard so its all good Im sorry im waaay out of the loop here but wtf happened to david? not a huge slipknot or Korn fan, but I think Joey's famous enough now to move from being labeld Slipknot Drummer to having his name used. maybe joey can bring in some actual drumming to korn's music.
seriously, i could have played korn's beats when i was 5. yeah. before i started playing drums.
which i know suck at. and could still play their beats. now i play guitar.
