Clash guitarist Mick Jones' band, Carbon/Silicon, played a one-off show in its own studio last night.

The band, comprising Jones and Generation X star Tony James, invited a crowd of just 30 people to their studio where they played a six-song set.

Jones told the audience at the concert: "It's not really a gig, it's an informal gathering" before joking, "We're a new band, even though we've been around for a long time.

"

Jones and James have been working on music for the band for the past four years and have released a number of tracks over the internet.

They are now planning a conventional release, with an EP due out this coming May and a full album to follow subsequently.
