Angola: Country Signs Military Cooperation Accord with Zimbabwe

The chiefs of staff of the armed force of Angola and Zimbabwe, generals Agostinho Nelumba Sanjar and Constantine Chiwenga, respectively, signed Friday in Luanda a cooperation agreement in the technical and military field.
The agreement focuses mainly on the training of military staff from Zimbabwe in Angola's national centres and vice-versa, and in the various specialties.

This is part of the seven-day visit to Angola of the Zimbabwean general, at the invitation of his Angolan counterpart, Gen.

Agostinho Nelumba, meant for discussion of new areas of military cooperation.
The programme of the foreign delegation's visit ending Saturday was included visits to various institutions and units of the Angolan Armed Forces (FAA), in the provinces of Luanda, Cabinda, Benguela, with special highlights to the establishment of military training.
The delegation that was received in audience by the Defence minister, Kundi Paihama, expressed the wish to strengthen the ties of friendship and existing fraternity between both States and respective armed forces.
