Arts Center will host photo exhibit, related events April 27-July 8
Eighty-four photographs, all featuring John, Paul, George and Ringo, The Beatles, will be on exhibition at Crooked Tree Arts Center April 27 through July 8. The photos were shot in the early 1960s by LIFE photographer William Eppridge.
Beatles: Backstage and Behind The Scenes opens with a reception on Friday, April 27 from 6:00 p.

m. to 8:00 p.m.

at the downtown Petoskey arts center.
Local Beatles aficionados will share pieces of their private collections during the first week or so of the exhibition. Visitors should be delighted with such memorabilia as concert tickets, signed record albums, and possibly most fascinating, the jukebox owned by John and Yoko Lennon.

These items will be on exhibit for a short time.
To keep the thrill throughout the two-month exhibit, several events are planned.
On Saturday, May 26 at 7:00 p.

m., everyone is invited to watch Beatlemania unfold on episodes of The Ed Sullivan Show in the Ross Stoakes Theatre. Viewers are encouraged to come in 1960s Beatles costume.

Prizes will be awarded.
The popular Crooked Tree Coffee at Ten series will offer two pair of Beatles related lectures. On June 14 at 7:00 p.

m. and June 15 at 10:00 am. Professor of Music and Beatles aficionado Henry Gwiazda from Moorhead University in Minnesota will speak.


The following weekend, photographer Bill Eppridge will discuss his experiences photographing The Beatles in the early 1960s at 10:00 a.m. and 7:00p.

m. on Friday June 22.
Rounding out the two-month exhibit is a performance by Shout!

A Fantastic Tribute to the Fab Four on stage at Crooked Tree Saturday, June 16 at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10/adults and $5/students.

The Beatles: Backstage and Behind the Scenes exhibit is open April 27 through early July. There is no charge to view the exhibit.

Crooked Tree Arts Center is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.

m., Saturdays 10:00 a.m.

to 4:00 p.m. Beginning Memorial Day Weekend, Crooked Tree will be open Sundays from Noon to 4:00 p.
