MYRTLE BEACH, S.C., , April 13, 2007 (UPI) -- Aging thrill-seekers who once streamed to Led Zeppelin concerts will soon be able to scream on the "Stairway to Heaven" roller coaster in South Carolina.
The 150-foot-high coaster will be one of more than 40 rock 'n' roll rides at the Hard Rock theme park being built in Myrtle Beach, S.C., USA Today reported Friday.
"Led Zeppelin are the icons of hard-rock music," said Steven Goodwin, the new park's chief executive officer. "Parents and kids alike can relate to the band's music." The 140-acre park is about a year away from completion.
Those who can't wait that long can always head to the Aerosmith coaster that's been a fixture at the Disney-MGM Studios park near Orlando, Fla., since 1999.
