Pete Doherty and Carl Barat buried the hatchet -- at least for one night.
The Libertines' songwriting axis was reunited last week, when Barat came on stage midway through a solo acoustic performance by Doherty at London's Hackney Empire. The pair raced through the Libertines' meager songbook, plucking about a dozen of the tunes from their past albums.
After kicking Doherty out of The Libertines in summer of 2005 in hope he'd kick his drug habit, Barat officially dissolved the band in early 2006 ( ). The pair last recorded together on the band's 2004 (Rough Trade), before Doherty spun off to form Babyshambles and Barat regrouped in Dirty Pretty Things.
The act hasn't made any comments about the possibility of a long-term reunion of the two.
