The Information rapidly came to be known as a top-listed band in Boston mdash; a city known for its vibrant and ruthlessly-competitive music scene mdash; after selling out their very first show in March of 2003. Early on, the band caught the attention of popular touring indie acts who sought them to fill opening slots in Boston and New York.
The band released their first full-length, "Mistakes We Knew We Were Making", in February of 2005 on Boston rsquo;s Primary Voltage Records.

The album received immediate local and national interest, with radio DJs across the nation adding the disc to their Top 30 lists week after week.

The Information owes its rapid success to music with cross-genre appeal. While the band shares rsquo;80s and New Wave influences with many other current success stories, they also draw from harder-edged, early punk pioneers such as the Stooges.

This combination offers something darker, richer and more raw, that bridges the gap between dance crowds and hard-nosed punks. Visually, the band offers a stylish, yet natural appeal. In a day of mascara-smeared trend hoppers, The Information is a band that looks and sounds like the bands true music fans have been waiting anxiously to discover.

The Information has been awfully busy putting the finishing touches on their new singles which will be released as an EP later this Spring. They hope to have digital downloads available for sale very soon.
