PALM BEACH, Fla., , April 14, 2007 (UPI) -- Florida's Riviera Beach Jazz and Blues Festival got off to a late start because wind blew down part of a roof and most of the lighting on a temporary stage. The mishap delayed the festival kickoff by several hours Friday in Riviera Beach, Fla.
Assistant City Manager Gloria Shuttlesworth told the Palm Beach Post the festival was running on the strength of "teamwork and God." No one was onstage at the time of the collapse and no one was injured, she said. Concertgoers who were expecting to get in at 4:30 p.
