Unfortunately in hip hop, this is the week of the sales dive. Maybe it has something to do with Paul Wall and Timbaland both debuting so strong. Paul Wall's sophmore album Get Money, Stay True debuted at #8, with 92k sold.
Three spots up is Timbo, whose Shock Value sold an impressive 138k this week.
Young Buck manages to stay in the top 20 as he slides from #3 to #17, with Buck the World moving another 55k, bringing the album's total to 196k. MIMS isn't so lucky, as he drops to #21, with Music Is My Savior only managing to bring in 45k this week.
Things get even heavier as Lil Flip drops from #15 to #57. His two-disc album I Need Mine ends up bringing in 18k this week (61k total). Redman gets it even worse as the brick city MC drops from #13 to #66, moving only 16k this week, giving the rap vet a modest total of 61k.
Crime Mob, Prodigy and 8-Ball and MJG are also bottoming out. Crime Mob's Hated On Mostly seems to have an appropriate title as the album spot goes from #64 to #115, with only 9k on the week. One spot below is Prodigy of Mobb Deep, with 9k of his own for the week for his album/mixtape Return of the Mac (36k total overall).
