The feisty singer and her husband, Sum 41 frontman Deryck Whibley, have bought a Bel-Air mansion which has more than ten bathrooms - for $9.5 million. The house was featured in the MTV show Meet the Barkers.
The mansion was previously owned by Blink 182 star Travis Barker and former Miss USA Shanna Moakler. The couple put it on the market in July 2006 after filming their MTV reality show there. It has eight bedrooms and ten-and-a-half bathrooms, an elevator, an office, a high-tech kitchen, a ten-car garage, a steam shower, a sauna, a pool and a spa.
The three-story, 12,000-square-foot Tuscan-style gated home comes with an acre of land. How comfy, guys. The two young actors were married last July in Montecito, Calif.
, in an outdoor, non-denominational ceremony attended by 110 guests. Avril, who reportedly wanted to be a princess, wore a Vera Wang gown and carried a bouquet of white roses. Avril confessed she had considered a goth wedding, but eventually plumped for a traditional one.
She said: I wanted to say, 'Let's totally have a rock 'n' roll, goth wedding. But at the same time I thought, 'I've been dreaming about my wedding day since I was a little girl. I have to wear the white dress.
I wanted to be a princess. Avril, 21, and Deryck, 26, have been together for three years. They became engaged in Venice, Italy, in June 2005.
Avril is currently enjoying the success of the first single from her new album The Best Damn Thing. While the album is set for release in April 2007, Girlfriend was released in early March and made its debut on the Billboard Hot 100 chart at #5. The Canadian singer worked with her husband on the new material and promises fans good music.
