Teen pop-punk starlet Avril Lavigne is making the leap from the stage to the pages of a comic book called Avril Lavigne's Make 5 Wishes. The comic, from Del Rey Manga, will hot stores on Tuesday and portray's Lavigne as the imaginary best friend of a teenager who hates her parents and compares her social life at school to a fly banging against a windowpane, the Los Angeles Times reported Saturday. Hana's also acquires a small, grinning demon that will grant her five wishes throughout the story.
Lavigne is a character and creative consultant for the manga series written by Joshua Dysart and drawn by Camilla D'Errico. I know that many of my fans read manga, and I'm really excited to be involved in creating stories I know they will enjoy, she said.
