Our new EP Wirez, Man! is out today and is available by clicking that little version of the picture above over there >
I have to say I ve managed to listen to this record again between finishing it and it getting released, which is a good sign. For those that don t know, we do pretty much everything to do with our records (except the pressing obviously, we re not bloody ) from recording them, to coming up with ideas for artwork and then organising distribution, etc through our lovely, new .

The result of this being that we can get VERY sick of the process at times, but this hasn t happened for me on this record.
It s probably just about the best thing I think we ve done in terms of the songs, production, packaging and everything and I for one am dead proud. I hope that anyone that hears it likes it too and if they feel inclined will choose to buy it in recognition of the fact we ve put hundreds of hours into getting it out of our heads and into your grubby little mittens.

Yes, in fact I think you should always think of buying a record as being akin to a band vomiting their soft, warm brainbits into your hands and ears. That s nice isn t it? That s what being a music fan is all about.

We re home! The tour is OVER. Do you want to know what happened?

Then I ll tell you.
First up was Liverpool, where I devoured a rather pleasant pizza in a nice little cafe. The coffee was pretty good.

8/10.
In Nottingham, Subway seemed the only decent option. I had a meatball sub on hearty Italian, which wasn t particularly good but could have been worse.

6/10.
Sheffield was a bit of a let down. Despite much talk of fantastic food, we found Burger King in the train station to be the only place still serving by the time we went for tea.

I spent £4.80 on watery cola, shit chips and a burger that tasted like fish but twice as chewy. Poor form.

1/10.
Prior to setting off for London, we got some sandwiches from a little shop in Derby. Mine had roast chicken and salad.

It was lovely. 9/10. Once we got to London, Jamie and myself found a small Italian bistro where we had a delicious bolognese with some parmesan and black pepper.

10/10. It was the second best day for food.
The following morning we got up bright and early.

I purchased a croissant and a sausage roll from Sainsburys. 7/10 for the croissant, 4/10 for the sausage. This was followed by a greasy fry-up somewhere around Hackney, which was pretty good, I d say another 7/10.

We then travelled to Bristol, en route devouring several beef hula hoops (5/10) and cans of RELENTLESS energy drink (7/10) which were quite nice. Once we reached Bristol, the lovely Theo (promoter chap) took us to his home where he had prepared us a lovely, healthy meal - vegetarian Shepard s Pie, with a delicious, crisp salad and chocolate croissants for pudding. 10/10, with a bell on top.

So, all things considered, it could have been worse. I only devoured two shitty chain fast food meals. In the process we played a few gigs and ALL MY PEDALS WERE LOST.

Please send any charitable donations towards me replacing them to my wallet, as for the time being we can t gig anymore. I HAVE NO DISTORTION. SOME THEIVING LONDON BASTARD HAS MY STUFF.

UPDATE - This was a good fun bit of DJing, our full playlist will be posted up in a little while. THE OTHER NEWS is that this here Stressed comp is OUT NOW!

The CD can be bought in the or through the . Also,
That s right, Rutger. We re DJing on Friday, and Christ knows what that means.

I can imagine two scenarios - 1. Robbie DJ s, and uses a sharpened stick to keep the other six of us back, or 2. we actually have a go at all seven of us doing it and the result it the strangest night of music you ve ever heard, or some sort of beer spillage/broken electrical equipment/death.

My bet s on 1. On Saturday you can enjoy Fixit Kid s DJ set. They will probably be playing the sort of music that makes me done a poo in fear.

Thumbs up all round!
There s a fine line up of bands there too, for those of you mentalists who actually enjoy live music. For me, DJing has always been where it s at.

I ve often dreampt of being some sort of superstar DJ like Jazzy Jeff or one of those chaps. Now s my chance! PS If I actually get the opportunity to DJ it would be a terrible mistake.

This is all in aid of the release of Stressed Vol.3, the fifth volume of the Stressed quadrilogy CD fantastico collection. You can read more about it We re on Vol.

3 with our song Two Left Feet , so buy one! And come to the gigs because there are lots of really very goood bands playing.
The full line up for the CD is really rather good too!

It got me to thinking maybe releasing the loon wouldn t be such a bad idea. Worse case scenario - he gets another copy of Catcher in the Rye , gets a plane to the UK and kills Paul McCartney. It s unlikely, and either way Paul would probably be chuffed to have a cool rock star death like John.

Best case scenario - well, we all know our Mark mainly took offense at the fact that he felt John was a phony just wait til he sees all the phony s who are celebrities these days! Look, I m a pacifist, and I certainly don t encourage murder, but if we could just get Mark to see how famous Louis Walsh is that s all I m saying. You make your minds up.

And would any of you really miss Puff Daddy? I m going to get me a petition together. Posted by Mallard on October 8th, 2006 Posted in ,
Look, I wrote a huge post about this then the interweb fucked up.

I can t be bothered to do it again. Suffice to say you should always save the best til last, but we already gave the best away, so here s the dregs - demos, acoustic noodlings and a steaming heap of fresh oregano on a delicious crusty .
Track one is something I did at college.

It s funny. Following that, the rest of the release is in chronological order.
Tracks 2, 3 and 4 are little pieces Jamie used to make up whilst I attempted to keep up with him.

Tracks 5 - 8 are recordings I was doing on my own at the same time.
Tracks 9 - 12 are what happened when we COMBINED OUR POWERS, like Captin Planet.
Tracks 13 - 20 are all bascially DEMOS, so I don t know why Robbie has only put DEMO next to some of them.

Now for God s sake, get orf moi land. Posted by Pandaz on October 5th, 2006 Posted in
HELLO!
Some young scamp has put a recording of our bbc session rendition of newsongstyle Mel Gibson s IRAQ!

onto their myfacepace. It s all in promotion of an acoustic gig we re doing this sunday at le 5 lamps in that Derby.
You can listen to it by going and clicking on Plans Apologies on his music playment tool.

And if the beeb are listening then please understand we don t support this kind of piracy and we re VERY ANGRY ABOUT IT INDEED!
We re featuring on a GROOVY, charity compilaion available to now. Info Below, Hobo.

50minutes is a compilation album that s been created to raise money for The Medical Foundation For The Care Of Victims Of Torture. All proceeds from the album will go to the charity. 50 different artists have recorded 50 new tracks for the album, each one 60 seconds long.

The result is an incredibly eclectic 50 minute album, that somehow flows together as a continuous piece of music. At times it s beautiful, at others madcap, but always utterly captivating.
The album featuures a mix of established and unsigned artists from the UK and accross the world, and includes exclusives from the legendary Daniel Johnston, as well as MC Lars, Piney Gir, Youthmovie Soundtrack Strategies, Jeremy Warmsley, Ladyfuzz, Emmy The Great, Roland Shanks and The Hot Puppies.

50minutes progresses through all styles of music, from indie to electronica, hip-hop to folk, and keeps you guessing as much as it keeps you enraptured.
The album will be distributed in the UK by Shellshock/Seriously Groovy and should retail at around £8.
Please also check out for more info on the charity which to be honest could benefit any one of us these days.

Here s the full tracklisting (although to be honest you don t need to see this as it s definitely worth buying, if only for the excellent Bobby McGees):
16. Emmy the Great - Big Water
20. Half Rabbits - Does Not Compute
21.

Will Sartain - Pissed on The Carpet
22.
