Avril Lavigne may be trying to convince the world she's all grown up with her designer gowns and tabloid-approved marriage, but the singer still can't refrain from snotty soundbites.
The pop-punk-princess-turned-fashion-plate slammed Britney Spears in an interview, blaming the recently rehabbed singer's problems on a lack of character, reports the London Sun.
"What's happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person," said Lavigne.
"If you want a piece of this business, you have to be able to deal with it."
Continuing to kick Spears while she's down, Lavigne added, "You can't complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness, because that's the job."
The statements come on the heels of a widely-circulated YouTube video showing Lavigne chatting with PopWorld host Alex Zane.
During the interview, the sullen singer barely speaks, instead opting to answer his questions with eye-rolls, hair flips and, eventually, dead silence. OMG! She's so punk!
