Ritmo Latino has banned all of Jennifer Lopez's CDs from its 50 stores, accusing the 37-year-old singer of snubbing Latin music shops.
Ritmo President David Massry tells the that J.Lo "has refused personally to promote her new CD in any of our stores" and won't appear at other outlets devoted only to Latin music.

"We've supported her from the beginning. Now we're told by her record company she will only visit Anglo retail outlets," Massry said.
On Wednesday, J.

Lo made an appearance at the FYE record store in her home borough of the Bronx and signed autographs for hundreds of fans who bought her new disc, Como Ama una Mujer ("How a Woman Loves"), Lopez's first Spanish album.
Massry continued: "This is a Spanish-language CD, and if she wants to discriminate against the Latin community, then we will not sell her product."
"This is not the first time this has happened," he added.

“Celebrities have this notion that when they reach a certain level of crossover appeal, they forget quickly where they started. We will no longer tolerate these situations."
But a source close to Lopez tells Usmagazine.

Puerto Ricans are Minorities, Mexicans are Minorities, Blacks are Minorities, Women are Minorities,Asians are Minorities but the funny thing is that the real Minorities are the white male. They are the ones who are discriminated against.

I am a HRM and I have quotas to fill for all the minorities. So the white male will be the last one to get hired until after all the quotas are filled.
It really is a discrimination against them.

Even if they are more qualified, if I don't have the right number of other people working for us, I can't even consider hiring him.
