" Beyond new tracks from Wolfmother, the Walkmen, Black Mountain, Rogue Wave and the Oohlas, the soundtrack also includes a track from actor Jason Schwartzman and "Spider-Man 3" star Kirsten Dunst, recording as Coconut Records.
"Peter Parker never seems to get over his introverted lack of confidence, at least in the classic comic books I remember," Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne told Billboard.com today (March 29) in the midst of a tornado warning in his Oklahoma City hometown.
"I was looking for some excuse to write a fight song, and then this came up. It has the chiming of the bell when they go into the ring. It's silly, but with the right storyline, it can be a lot of fun.

A special edition of the album is also in the planning stages, with details to be announced. "Spider-Man 3" opens May 4 in U.S.
theaters.
