Dina Lohan says her daughter Lindsay isn't an alcoholic and that people are wrong to assume that she's a club-hopping "party mom."
"Oh, the party mom, the party mom, the party mom!" Lohan says.

"Whoever said that, my ex-husband or whatever, I'm not the party mom!"
"Listen to me: Lindsay would drag me, literally drag my loser butt (to a club) and say, 'I need you to know who these people are,'" Lohan, 44, says in an interview in the April issue of Harper's Bazaar, on newsstands Tuesday. "Yeah, she trusts my judgment.

She's in such a whirlwind; she's in a tornado. I mean, we're talking serious earthquake, you know?"
The 20-year-old actress/tabloid target checked into the Wonderland Center in Los Angeles in January.

Her publicist, Leslie Sloane, declined comment to The Associated Press on Thursday when asked for details. Sloane had confirmed in December that Lohan was attending Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.
Lohan says her daughter isn't an alcoholic.

"Noooo! She is just a 20-year-old who had to reel it in. And she's from an addictive personality genetically," she tells the magazine.

"Lindsay had to fall and get up," she says. "I knew it was coming. I told her, but finally she was like, 'Mommy, I had to do it myself.

'"
Lohan also talks about another member of the young Hollywood set, 25-year-old pop star Britney Spears, who embarked on a bout of bizarre behavior after filing for divorce from Kevin Federline in November. Spears recently completed a stint in rehab.
"Cut her some slack," Lohan says.

Carmen Electra has lesbians all fired up after she told friends she's planning to drop a bombshell at one of the year's most anticipated gay gatherings.
The sexy single, who split from husband Dave Navarro last year, is set to perform with her burlesque troupe the Bombshell Babes at the Dinah Shore Weekend in Palm Springs, Calif., at the end of the month -- and rumors persist she'll use the four-day lesbian festival to announce her romance with rocker Joan Jett.

An event insider tells Star magazine, "Carmen and Joan are planning on enjoying all the fun the weekend has to offer, and they'll be making a very clear statement to the world by attending together."
Reports of the couple's romance started circulating last year when Electra spent time with Jett at the 2006 Dinah Shore Weekend.

"Simple Life" star Nicole Richie has been diagnosed with the blood disorder hypoglycemia.

The condition means the skinny socialite's blood sugar levels are often too low to provide an adequate amount of energy for her body.
A spokesperson for Richie tells People magazine, "In her ongoing effort to focus on her well-being, Nicole has recently been diagnosed with hypoglycemia. "(She) is taking steps to manage it.

"
The diagnosis comes less than a month after Richie was hospitalized for dehydration after falling ill while filming the new season of her hit reality show, in which she and pal Paris Hilton have been counseling children at a health camp.
A source says, "Four or five times she's felt really faint and almost passed out and then she has to go into her trailer for a good part of the day."
Richie has spent the last year battling reports she has an eating disorder and recently confessed she called in a therapist and a nutritionist to help her figure out why she was so thin.

"Desperate Housewives" actor Jesse Metcalfe checked himself into a Los Angeles rehab facility for alcohol abuse earlier this week.
The actor, who played John Rowland on the show, is said to have voluntarily admitted himself into an undisclosed treatment clinic on Monday, following several nights of heavy partying at the Mondrian Hotel in Hollywood last weekend. A representative for the 28-year-old confirmed the reports Thursday morning and asked for the press to respect his privacy while he battles his alcohol demons, according to the New York Post.

The statement says, "On Monday, Jesse Metcalfe entered a rehab facility to deal with alcohol issues. He realized he had a problem and was anxious to deal with it immediately.
"The actor hopes that the media will allow him the privacy to deal properly with his treatment.

Actress Vivica A. Fox was arrested on Tuesday night on suspicion of drunk driving. The actress was stopped for speeding on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley, Calif.

According to a police report, obtained by "Entertainment Tonight," officers also noted Fox was "unable to maintain lane position" in her Cadillac. Fox's publicist has refused to comment about the incident.
Sir Paul McCartney has confirmed he'll be the first artist to sign to a new joint record label formed by coffee chain Starbucks and the Concord Music Group.
The former Beatle's as-yet-untitled new album will be released on the new label, Hear Music, in June.

McCartney says, "This is something I've been working on for a little while now."
He insists his first album for the new label will be one of his best: "A lot of it's very personal to me. The songs are in some ways a little bit retrospective.

Some of them are of now, some of them hark back to the past, but all of them are songs I'm very proud of."
The coffee chain's profile as a music retail outlet spiked in 2005 when the company's Ray Charles duets compilation, Genius Loves Company, became a chart-topping sensation and picked up eight Grammy Awards.
The new label has also struck deals to release upcoming projects by Alanis Morissette and Bob Dylan.

Singer Britney Spears has been granted a British court order preventing the UK press from printing allegations about her recent stay at a rehab clinic in Malibu, Calif.
Lawyers acting for the troubled star at the High Court in London Thursday also applied for an additional order that would force British publications to reveal the sources of stories that detailed Spears' stay at the Promises clinic.
A statement from Spears' London legal team explains the singer "intends to challenge false allegations that have already been published.

"
It goes on to explain that media outlets are being served the injunction "so as to assist them in not making the mistake of carrying out such further disclosures if approached by this person."
The star has already launched a lawsuit against some of the "false allegations" which have been circulating in some publications.

A source tells the publication the party was "for just a small group of close friends and family.

"
Insiders claim the couple treated guests to fine chocolates and cupcakes before, announcing their engagement with a champagne toast.
The source explains, "Bar said that Leo had asked her to marry him and that she had said yes."
Friends claim Refaeli, the first Israeli model to appear in Sports Illustrated magazine, could become Mrs.

DiCaprio by the end of the year. One says, "They'll probably have a private ceremony in Israel, then a big ring ceremony and party in the U.S.

toward the end of the year."
The wedding will be Refaeli's second -- she was married to longtime friend Arik Weinstein in October, 2003, but the relationship soon fell flat and the couple divorced in 2005.
Refaeli started dating DiCaprio last year after he split from longtime girlfriend Gisele Bundchen.

Playboy editor Rob Tannenbaum has praised hip-hop mogul Jay-Z for being a man of his word, after the rapper recently paid up for a losing a $1,000 bet he placed in 2003.
Tannenbaum had put a $20 wager on the hitmaker coming out of retirement four years ago at odds of 50-1, after Carter proclaimed he would never return to the rap game. But after launching a comeback to hip-hop with the release of his album Kingdom Come last year, Carter was forced to pay up.

Tannenbaum was shocked to receive 10 crisp $20 bills delivered to his office last week, because he thought the rapper had forgotten all about it.
He tells the New York Post, "Jay-Z is a man of his word. I just bought a plasma TV with the money, and the first thing I'm going to watch on it is a Jay-Z video.

Campbell is spending the week scrubbing floors at the Manhattan Sanitation Department in New York, as punishment for throwing a cell phone at her maid.
According to reports, she is being watched through the lens by Steven Klein.

Dead Kennedys members have challenged former frontman Jello Biafra to "put his money where his mouth is" after criticizing his ex-bandmates for allowing their song "Too Drunk to F-" be used in a graphic rape scene in the new Quentin Tarantino film "Grindhouse."
Biafra hit out at East Bay Ray, Klaus Flouride and D.

They tell the New York Post, "Jello is getting paid extremely well and we challenge him to put his money where his mouth is and donate his share to a woman's cause, if he is truly concerned with the issue.
