John Lennon News - WhatGoesOn.com

Latest news as of Sunday, March 25, 2007 Who wants to watch John Lennon compose "Remember," or "Mind Games"? Um, we do. 3 Days in the Life was filmed in February 1970, at Lennon's Tittenhurst Park estate in England by Ono's ex-husband Tony Cox, but there is an ongoing dispute about ownership of the footage.

[ ] A new two-hour movie edited from footage shot by John Lennon and his widow Yoko Ono's first husband Tony Cox in 1970 is to premiere in Maine next month. 3 Days in the Life was filmed at various locations including the late Beatle's country estate in England and at rehearsals. [ ] Yoko Ono has spoken about her late husband John Lennon's protests against the Vietnam War.

She doesn't believe there are many parallels between the way she and Lennon protested against war and how it's done now, but only because the times have changed. [ ] Yoko Ono felt "vindicated", a spokesman for Ono said, after her former chauffeur Koral Karsan pleaded guilty Friday to a reduced charge of attempted grand larceny in the third degree, admitting he told Ono that he would release embarrassing recordings and photos of her if she did not pay him "more than $3,000." [ ] Yoko Ono, one of the most outrageous, controversial and fascinating figures in art and rock 'n' roll history, turns 74 years old this month.

Not surprisingly, she's marking the occasion in unconventional fashion. She is the subject of a wild new recording, "Yes, I'm a Witch." [ ] After years of being lambasted, New York-based artist Yoko Ono is happy to have other artists fiddle with her music.

Yoko has just released a new album, wryly titled "Yes, I'm a Witch." Some of the results, Ono says, moved her to tears. A club remix album of Ono songs is due out in April, and she's also working on some original material.

[ ] John Lennon fans are calling on cinema-goers to boycott a movie about the late Beatle. So far more than 2,000 people have signed a petition pledging not to see Chapter 27, which focuses on Mark David Chapman in the days before December 1980.
