Baltimore, MD (AHN) - The Police, Smashing Pumpkins and Beastie Boys will be headlining the two-day U.S. Virgin Festival in Baltimore this summer, and according to producer Seth Hurwitz the rest of the line-up will also consist of big bands.
"We only have 12 slots a day on two big stages and our concept is to fill our slots with the absolute best talent available," Hurwitz said, according to NME.com.
The festival is being held on the same dates as the Lollapalooza festival in Chicago, but Hurwitz said, "Hopefully both festivals will be strong enough that it doesn't matter.
"
The festival will be held on August 4 and 5 at Baltimore's Pimlico Race Course. The names of the other bands that will be performing are expected to be announced over the coming weeks.
