Lynx, how did you come up with this name?
It’s an ancient cat which sleeps in day and is awake in the night. Earlier 3 of our members used to play for a band called “Link”, but people used to call us “Links”.
So we decided to re-spell as Lynx.
When did you guys get together and decide to form a band?
We started playing together during our school days.
We had formed a school band and also used to sing and play in the Church choirs. We started to take part in school competitions and we made some money, so we decided to stick with it.
Who inspires you the most from the world of music?
Every good song is an inspiration for us, form Mozart to Jimmy Hendrix, and Led Zeppelin
What do you think about the Indian rock scene?
It’s superb. It’s like the beginning stages of rock which started in the west.
There are some great bands like Indus Creed. Its on par with the west.
If you win Sprite Band of the Sand title and get to make your own music album then what kind of music would you like to play?
We have a demo album with 14 songs all original which include Hindi songs, Konkani songs and English songs, which just needs to be mastered. We have lot of “Janta” music which we would like to put into this album if we win.
What your message to the people of goa, and why they should vote for you?
Just be aware of all the musical and cultural wealth we have and don’t let it go to waste. If you feel that our band performs with heart then vote for us.
