New York, NY (AHN) - The English band Genesis announced Wednesday they will be going on their first North American tour in 15 years. Tickets for the Montreal and Philadelphia concerts go on sale Thursday, and tickets for the Boston, Chicago, East Rutherford, NJ, Hartford, CT and Toronto shows will be available on March 12.

Tony Banks and Mike Rutherford, two of the band's founding members, and Phil Collins, Genesis' drummer and lead vocalist, will have their first stop in Toronto in September. Peter Gabriel, the band's lead vocalist when it formed on the '60s, will not be participating in the tour.Promoter Michael Cohl said in a statement, "Genesis is absolutely one of the world's most exciting bands of all time.

"They have always been an amazing concert experience and I'm thrilled that fans will be able to see them perform again live for the first time in 15 years."
The tour has thirteen stops, with the last performance in Los Angeles. Tickets start at $75.

It will be followed by a tour of Europe starting in June.
