is a fundraising effort that was set up by former NYC clue promoter, Scott Harrison. Through the proceeds from the sale of bottled spring water priced at $20 each, each labeled with a custom logo to mark their purpose, the charity will bring clean, sustainable water sources to people in Africa. For every 100 bottles of water sold, one well will be built.
And they will keep building wells as long as the water is being sold and there is money to do so. It is part of a greater movement, which organizes campaigns to bring attention to issues from sanitation to hunger to AIDS and to raise funds to do something about them by "restoring faith in low-level donations" from compassionate citizens. They prove that "even small gifts can have great impact" by using 100% of the proceeds from each of their projects for their causes.

Sephora is carrying an exclusive set of holiday cards from Cargo this year. The are cards that have a small button of lip gloss built right into them, which makes them a little bit more fun to give and receive than an ordinary card, not to mention that they can really improve the presentation of a gift card or cash because it will look like you put a little more thought into it. You can also feel good about sending them because 100% of the proceeds are donated to the St.

With an estimated selling price of $500-$700, a personal item of Britney Spears is heading to auction at Christie's. Don't get too excited, though, because it's not exactly something that is in high demand. It's a page from Brit's with part of a report on Sophocles'
Antigone written on it in Britnay's neat handwriting.
Her grade (88, presumably out of 100) is on the reverse. The page was originally sold in 2003 as part of a charity auction. The will be December 4th.
Other lots include a by Jim Morrison and a worn by Elvis.
There have been some successful in the past year or so, but an upcoming Christie's auction is not to be such an event. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Art Foundation has had to valued at up to $60 million due to some 11th hour ownership claims made by a man named Julius Schoeps, who claims that the painting was lost by his family in a "forced sale" by Nazis. The Foundation says that the painting, to the best of their knowledge, was sold by the widow of the relative in question after his death in 1935 and that Scheops has no claim to it.
A federal judge rejected the case due to a lack of jurisdiction, but Schoeps filed a civil suit in an attempt to claim the painting, titled "Portrait of Angel Fernandez de Soto." Schoeps seeks $60 million in damages and the return of the painting
Both Christies and the Foundation question Scheop's motives for making claim, especially as he was silent when the painting was purchased, with much publicity, by the Foundation in 1995. Proceeds from the sale of the portrait would have gone to charity.
