Dave Anderson was left crying into his birthday cake after his side were swept aside by his former club Hendon.
The Dons were beaten for the first time in 11 league games after going down 3-1 at struggling Hendon on Saturday - despite taking the lead through Roscoe Dsane's first half strike.
And Anderson, who celebrated his 45th birthday on Sunday, admitted that his side's result and performance put a dampener on the celebrations.


He said: "It certainly wasn't the perfect birthday fillip for me - I thought the defending of their three goals was awful. We had chances in the game and I think we will play worse this season and still get something."
The Dons boss was left ruing a number of missed opportunities that would have killed the game off and has called on his strikers to be more ruthless in front of goal.


"Their keeper has made a couple of great saves but at the end of the day we are paid to put it in the back of the net. At 1-0 we had chances to go 2-0 up and I thought we looked by far the better side and we looked comfortable.
