February 18, 2007 - Deadly Friend Release Imminent - The long awaited release of Charles Bernstein's orchestral cues from the Wes Craven picture from 1986, is due this week.
Included are a handful of remastered electronic cues from the original LP to faciltate the album's flow. But what is really an added bonus is a 35 minute interview of Charles Bernstein and Wes Craven at the end of the album. This should make for some interesting listening.
The disc is limited to 1,000 pressings and will be out on Friday. January 29, 2007 - Karel Svoboda Dead at 69 - This is truly a sad time for the film music community. The Czech film composer, who made himself a name in the 70's for children's animated shows on West German TV, shot himself yesterday in his backyard near Prague.
Reason, as is speculated, could have been a terminal disease. January 27, 2007 - Peer Raben Dead at 66 - Fassbinder's court composer dies lasy night after a long illness. Another voice is silent.
January 12, 2007 - Leatherface is Out Today - The first in our Limited Composers Series, Leatherface, Jim Manzie's frighteningly chilly score is out now. I appreciate all the words of encouragement to repress, but I felt that in the long run it would be more harmful to this label's reputation if I went back on my word. It is possible that we might do an expanded version at some time in the future, but for now, the initial 500 units are all that will be available. Sorry if you didn't get yours.

If you would like to be placed on our mailing list, send us an email. The newsletter comes out at irregular intervals. October 3, 2006 - Wes Craven Interview - I just got out of the studio where we recorded a 40-minute phone interview with Charles Bernstein and Wes Craven.
The interview goes into detail about their collaboration on "Deadly Friend" and "A Nightmare on Elm Street" and how a composer and director work together. The CD will feature the orchestral parts of the score from "Deadly Friend", and it will NOT contain the synthesizer music that was put out by Varese at the time of the film's release. This title will be limited to 300 pressings.

July 31, 2006 - Remo, Dark Skies and The Prophecy Finally Available - After many delays, our three most eagerly awaited titles are finally out. "Remo Williams" will be available on August 4, with "The Prophecy" following closely on August 7, and "Dark Skies" closing out the trio with a release date of 8/21. The office will be closed from 8/6-13, so most orders will be shipped after the break.
The wait is finally over! June 29, 2006 - Remo, Dark Skies and The Prophecy Announced for July - The booklet for "Remo Williams" has finally been approved by Sony and is currently at the pressing plant. The aardvark for "Dark Skies" is still at Sony, but we should have final notes by tomorrow.
The "Prophecy" art is on its way to David Williams and then off to the printer. All three titles should be out the last week of July. Thanks so much for hanging in there.

June 2, 2006 - Gag is Released - With a couple of weeks delay, we are happy to say that Dennis Dreith's brooding score to the current horror film has finally been released.
Due to a glitch in our distributor's system, the CD is only available on the Web site for the time being. We will keep you posted on a future street date. May 28, 2006 - Rejected "Chinatown" score to be released next year - The cat is out of the bag.
In response to our first newsletter of this past weekend, we have been flooded with emails. Among the future releases, we will have a digital re-recording of the unused "Chinatown" score. It will be recorded in Prague under the baton of the composer.

May 16, 2006 - Van Damme Kicks Into Action - We have just signed the deal to release the much requested score to "Kickboxer" by Paul Hertzog. The booklet will contain exclusive liner notes by the composer and the full score digitally remastered from the original session tapes. Tentative street date is October 17, 2006.
March 20, 2006 - Dark Skies Expanded - Our next album, which will feature Michael Hoenig's score to the Sci-Fi Channel series Dark Skies, will also contain music composed for the pilot by X- Files composer Mark Snow. The liner notes are almost done. The only thing missing is the interview with Mark Snow.
March 19, 2006 - Remo Williams: The Adventure Delayed - We just realized that the DAT we received from Craig Safan is missing the last 11 tracks featured in the movie. Rather than giving you only 75% of the score, we have decided to postpone the release of the CD to June 20, 2006, until we can locate the missing music. Stay tuned to the Web site for more updates.
