Judie: Typically all bets are off at the Grammys. Here's where the artists show their creativity. We've seen wild, crude, outrageous, ridiculous and tasteless.
We love it! Fashion icons cut their teeth at previous Grammys, starting with Madonna and moving on to Gwen Stefani. However, this year no one took any real risks, unless you count Imogene Heap.
The songstress, up for Best New Artist, looked like Little Bo Peep in a full flouncy, ruffled skirt that had giant flowers stuck all over it. Grass, ivy and floral objects sprung from her hair. She was holding a parasol and a frog.
Don't ask. But we look forward to seeing how her fashion sense evolves. Other looks we noticed: Short dresses were definitely a trend, as seen on Best New Artist nominee Corinne Bailey Rae, who wore a black, sparkly number.
Nelly Furtado looked absolutely stunning in a white and gold strapless short gown with hanging white icicles. It rocked our world. Hilary Duff won our hearts in a black lace and gold Dolce Gabbana short dress.
Fergie, of Black Eyed Peas, cleaned up her act in a silver Badgley Mischka mini. Christina Aguilera wore bows on her white dress by Emmanuel Ungaro, as did Paula Abdul in a black and white gown by Valentino. Natasha Bedingfield and Natalie Cole also wore dresses decorated with bows.
They dangled from the ears of Fergie, Carrie Underwood and India.Arie, who looked like she had gold cymbals hanging from her lobes. Mary J.
Blige, LeAnn Rimes and American Idol Carrie Underwood listened to their stylists and looked beautifully boring.
